Setup Email Review Text
First we'll setup the SMS template...
go to: Location > Settings > SMS
Adding the image to this is optional. One could make the argument that adding the image to a text might hurt deliverability You can load it here and toggle it off and on to test.
The text message should be something to the effect of:
Hi {{contact.first_name}}, this is Amber from Best Smiles Dental. Would you do us a favor and leave us some feedback about your experience today?
as of Jan. 2020 the only merge field that works is the one above... don't try to user or company merge custom merge fields
Next we'll input the link for the GMB and pulling up the review box directly.
Log into the GMB of the client and go to the home tab. Look for the card that says "get more reviews." Click "share review form" and a link will be generated that looks something like this
Place that link in PL software and "generate link"
Be sure to save all your changes! Now would be a good time to test the sms system. Do this checking yourself in. Click the big green "check in client" button and fill out your full name and cell phone number.
Send yourself a review invite and you should recieve an SMS to your phone. click the link and the customers review box should populate automatically. (you will have to login to google) Finally we need to setup the email review template.
go to: Location > Settings > Email
The email template is mostly setup but can be customized if needed
You can use the same link you generated for the SMS setup and place it here and click "generate link"
Remember to hit SAVE
Test this step by clicking "check in client" and entering your name and email address this time.
